Warp knitting

 

Warp knitting Principles:

Warp sheet of yarns is coming towards a row of special needles by let-off positive feeding. These yarns make lapping movement around their respective upwards  needles. These lapping are achieved by swinging in (Frontward) between needles and then has lateral defined movement called shogging, after that the yarn sheet swinging out (backward) between needles. Needles are then coming down catching yarns and forming loops.
Swinging movements
:

are obtained by set of combination of eccentrics and linkage which are mounted on the main shaft.

Shogging movement:

are obtained by pattern chain links mounted on pattern drum or by disks.

Yarn let-off:

Yarns are warped on sectional beams by warping machine with defined turns. They are mounted after that on the warp knitting machine. By yarn positive feeding let-off device with close feedback control system, can provide accurate certain measured yarn according to the quality of the required fabric (wall stitches/cm). The standard unite of measuring yarn run-in feeding is rack. Rack is the length of yarn required to produce 480 wall(vertical) stitches.

Yarn run-in ratio:

For multi bar machine, each bar has its own rack according to the fabric design and quality, the relative ratios between different let-offs is called run-in ratio.

KNITTING SHOGGING ACTUATION SYSTEMS

 

 

Hydraulic system:

 

stepping motors are used to actuate the shogging movement for guide bars via hydraulic cylinders. The hydraulic cyliders move the guide bars by 1/8 needle pitch/pulse/step of the stepping motor. So that 8 pulses requried to achive a shog crossing 1 needle pitch.

There is an excption for the pile bar, that it is moved 9 steps/needle pitch.

The stepper motor pulses can be read via Leds, which are switched on by stepping motor steps.S

 

 

 

Mechanical system:

 

Stepless adjustbale drive has coupling ring which is displayed by setting element.

The movement of the setting element is the resultant of comparison of the input and output speeds of the warp beam.

 

 

 

Semi computerized system:

 

Stepless adjustbale drive has coupling ring which is displayed by setting element.

The movement of the setting element is the resultant of comparison of the input and output speeds of the warp beam.

 

 

 

Fully computerized system:

 

Stepless adjustbale drive has coupling ring which is displayed by setting element.
